OBRAMIS.

Christmas - Jesus, the true gift (seasonal action)

Christmas is always a time of hope and renewal. To understand the meaning of Christmas, we find in the family, in solidarity and in faith a guide to lead a life in harmony with the values and goals that God has intended for us. With this in mind, we would like to support OBRAMIS with this project to bring the true meaning of Christmas closer to children and their families through playful activities. The focus is on the birth of Jesus and its significance for our lives.

Objectives
We want to arouse the children's interest in recognizing the true meaning of Christmas and show them how important this festival is for us humans.

Financing
Funding is needed to implement this project, some of which is collected through OBRAMIS' own actions, such as actions among friends, donations from private individuals and companies in the area. However, these funds only cover a small part of the amount required.

We at the Faith Hope Love Mission would like to contribute another, larger amount, mainly for the children who are supported and cared for throughout the year by the evangelization campaign of the "New Steps" project.

Activities offered

Telling the true Christmas story to all children who receive a Christmas package;
Making and opening an Advent calendar daily by class with activities that promote Christian values (for all children at the "Escola de Educação Infantil Crescer" ("School for Early Childhood Education Growing"), "Projeto Aprender e Crescer" ("Projeto Learn and Grow") and the Bible school "A casa de meu Pai" ("My Father's House") in Tucunduva);
Making and wrapping the Christmas packages, which contain classic sweets and age-appropriate toys, as well as books and toys that strengthen the Christian faith.

Two types of Christmas packages are produced:

Full model - approx. EUR 10.00:

contains school supplies (e.g. crayons, modeling clay, notebook);
hygiene items (such as toothbrush or drinking bottle);
toys (such as dolls or small cars);
sweets (sweet popcorn, candy, chocolate);
Christian literature (children's Bible, books with Bible stories).

Small model - approx. EUR 5.00:

contains sweets;
and Christian literature.

Note: The content and number of items depend on the funds collected.

Target group
The project involves the compilation of around 250 Christmas packages specifically intended for the children who are cared for in the various areas of OBRAMIS throughout the year.

Educational Resources
The APEC - Aliança Pro Evangelização das Crianças (Alliance for the Evangelization of Children) serves as our reference and provides training and teaching materials for storytelling, etc.
